Portrait I did of my friend, Shannon in watercolor.

I've been working on spot illustrations for a restaurant I work at back home in DC. These are a few of the ones I've got so far. I'm gonna try to finish them up this December when I head back up north for christmas. Hopefully I can convince them that art makes people more hungry. It's science.

Two concept drawings I did for Alice in Wonderland. Pencil vs. charcoal. The charcoal piece took about half the time it took to do the pencil one. I like the more messy/expressive line work of the charcoal, too.

Continuing with photoshop, this was a collage I did. Pretty straightforward. At the time, I thought the story of Rapunzel was based in eastern europe, so I based the figure off of Russian theatre figure art (really geometric) and used Russian textile designs to make a patchwork for the dress and background. It was only after I finished that I realized the story originated in Germany. So now I just need Russia to conquer Germany and I can say it's a political piece.

This was a poster I did in photoshop using custom brushes to create a 'print' feel to it. It's a tour poster for one of my favorite rappers, Devin the Dude. "Lacville '79", "Just Chillin", "Zeldar", "Like a Sweet", and "Backup Plan" are regular repeats on my ipod.

These some spot illustrations I did a few months back. They were done in ink with digital color in photoshop. I'm trying to learn to use watercolors as an alternative to digital color.
